The Controversial New 'Skinny Pill' is a band in Minneapolis, that does non-drowsy, hypnagogic, psychedelic social pop.
Band lead Skyler Nowinski creates woozy, wah-wah drenched, relentlessly rhythmic party songs and weirdo pop grooves joined by Mariel Oliveira on synths, Dan Dukich on bass, Alana Horton on drums, and Jared Hemming on auxiliary percussion.

Hailing from Minneapolis, GWEN is a three-piece playing garage rock with a healthy dose of twee. Virtuosic guitar, determined drums, and driving basslines accompany yearning lyrics with an unapologetically queer approach.

Egg Girl Girl isn't interested in seeing musicians get up on stage and play their instruments. Seeing Egg Girl Girl play is as much punk as it is a prank. With a "fuck guitars" attitude, Egg Girl Girl bring concerns about the surveillance state and dreams of Barbie cars to the stage with dance-y keys, bass, drums, and 2-4 vocalists at all times. Together they draw on no wave and new wave influences.

Minneapolis quintet Bella Yaga started as the brainchild of multi-disciplinary artist Anna Johnson, who has a background in visual and performance art but has gradually found herself drawn towards creating music. She joined forces with a cadre of other artists-of-many-stripes, consisting of Alia Jeraj, Alana Horton, Joni Griffith and Peter Morrow. They settled on the name “Bella Yaga” as Johnson grew up fascinated by dark tales of the Slavic deity Baba Yaga, adding the whimsical “Bella” to capture the dichotomy of themes of light and darkness, a theme that is exhibited in her work.
